Barcelona legend announces his retirement

Sergio Busquets will retire at the end of the MLS season.

The 37 -year -old released the advertisement on his Instagram page overnight, and finishes speculation about whether he will expand his contract with Inter Miami or call it one day.

He chose the latter and will put an end to a glorious profession after the Miami Football League campaign.

Busquets said: “I feel it is time to say goodbye to my career as a professional football player. It has been nearly 20 years of enjoying this amazing story that I have always dreamed of.

“Thank you for FC Barcelona, ​​Hayati Club. There, my childhood dreams achieved the shirt I loved in hundreds of games. I celebrated many stories and lived unique moments in the Nou camp that I will never forget.

Busquets decreases in Barcelona folklore

Busquets moved to Miami in 2023 after he participated in more than 700 games with Barcelona, ​​with whom he won nine titles in the Spanish League in addition to the Champions League three times.
