Barbara Corcoran has set up a GoFundMe for residents of the “beloved” Pacific Palisades mobile home park.

Founder of The Corcoran Group and star of Shark Tank Barbara Corcoran She created a GoFundMe fundraiser to help residents of the Pacific Palisades mobile home park, calling it a “little slice of paradise” affected by the California wildfires.

Corcoran said Thursday on social media that her “beloved Tahitian Terrace Mobile Home Park,” where she and others had homes, was “completely destroyed when the devastating Palisades Fire moved quickly through the park Tuesday.”

Her GoFundMe fundraiser had raised $117,364 as of 3 p.m. EST on Friday, according to her page. She has a stated goal of $600,000.

Corcoran said Friday in a statement to FOX Business that she is “deeply saddened by the total devastation that has occurred throughout… Los Angeles“.

“Pacific Palisades and the Tahitian Terrace community in particular are a little piece of heaven,” she said. “I have been fortunate enough to own a home in the community for the past five years, and have formed lasting friendships with some of the kindest, most selfless and honest people I have ever met. Many of the residents, most of whom are seniors, have built their lives here over many decades.” They planned to live out their retirement here, but they lost absolutely everything.

Corcoran said she donated $100,000 of her own money to the GoFundMe.

Money raised by her GoFundMe fundraiser will help Tahitian Terrace Mobile Home Park residents with “immediate necessities like food, clothing and shelter as they take the first steps toward rebuilding their lives,” according to the GoFundMe page.

Corcoran said Fox Business She was “working with the HOA to address the immediate needs of displaced residents.”

The Palisades Fire that struck the mobile home park began Tuesday and had spread to more than 20,400 acres in the Los Angeles area as of Friday afternoon, according to CalFire. The fire, which is 8% contained, has destroyed more than 5,000 structures.
