Austin Kroll for Southern Charm, The Rise and Fall of Craig Conover

During the season 10 premiere Southern charmwhich aired in December 2024, Conover and Kroll had a heart-to-heart with Rose about his drinking problems. (Rose passed out at BravoCon in the fall of 2023, causing tension between him and his cast mates.)

While the trio left the conversation as friends, Kroll admitted that he “completely disagrees with how Craig sets boundaries, which is a tough one.”

As the season went on, Kroll and Conover butted heads. Kroll claimed during January 2, 2025, Ep Conover’s work is the only thing he cares about. “I miss my friend. That’s where I got you from,” Kroll told Conover, claiming that if he asked him to lunch, Conover always had an excuse for not showing up.

Kroll said that when Conover “saved golf” with him — instead spending his time gardening and then posting about it on social media — it felt like a “move” and that he “saved the friendship.”

“This is what makes me happy now. Working and making money,” Conover revealed. He argued that they are good because they see each other to do their podcasts. “If you were a true friend, you would be happy (for me),” Conover added.

Kroll claimed he was fine because Conover didn’t drink or go to the bar anymore, but he claimed Conover wouldn’t even come to his house. “I’ll never tell you how to live your life,” Conover shouted.

“I understand that times change,” Kroll told the cameras. “I feel like you keep those friends that you have here when you start to blossom, those are the friends that are closest to you.”
