At least 12 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces while waiting for help in central Gaza, according to rescue men and the doctor.
Reports say the group was killed by fire near the aid distribution site run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which is supported by the United States and Israeli (GHF) on Thursday.
GHF denied that there are any accidents near its location. The Israeli army told Reuters that the “suspects” tried to deal with the forces in the Netzarim area, and that the soldiers shot warning footage. He said he was not aware of any injuries.
The accident is almost the latest in almost daily shooting off from these relief sites in Gaza.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed since late May, when GHF took over the distribution of aid in Gaza in an attempt by Israel to bypass the United Nations as a major resource for assistance.
Almost all injuries in Gaza have been linked in recent days to incidents related to providing aid, instead of Israeli strikes on Hamas’s goals.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Thursday that, since midnight, 12 people have been killed while asking for help, without providing further details.
The Hamas Civil Defense Agency – the main emergency service in Gaza – told Agence France -Presse that a group had been killed by the Israeli shooting near the Netzarim corridor, where thousands of people were gathering daily for help.
Civil defense official, Mohamed Al -Muwawair, said 15 people were killed and 60 injuries in the accident. Israel does not allow international news organizations, including the BBC, in Gaza, which makes it difficult to check the numbers.
Agence France -Presse said that she spoke to a witness to Basam Abu Shar, who said that thousands of people gathered overnight at the GHF distribution site, and that the Israeli forces opened fire at about 01:00 (22:00 GMT).
He said that the size of the crowd made it impossible for people to escape shoot, adding: “We were unable to help them or even escape from ourselves.”
However, GHF BBC told “” There were no accidents anywhere near our site today, “however, told the GHF BBC.
“This again is another example of the wrong and misleading report by GHM (the Ministry of Health in Gaza).”
BBC contacted the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to respond.
According to Reuters, the Israeli army said that people approached its forces in a threat.
In a telegram statement on Wednesday, Hamas called on the United Nations and its humanitarian agencies to be the only distributors to assist in Gaza.
The United Nations and other relief groups refuse to cooperate with the new relief system led by GHF. The United Nations says the system is inconsistent with the humanitarian principles of neutrality, neutrality and independence.
They also warn that Gaza residents face catastrophic levels of hunger after an Israeli -Israeli siege for 11 weeks that were partially mitigated a month ago.
The United States and Israel say the GHF system will prevent aid by Hamas, which the group denies.
Separately on Thursday, civil defense teams regained dozens of bodies from different parts of the Gaza Strip in the wake of reports on the Israeli bombing.
According to seven people were killed when a displaced civilian was injured in a tent in the Gabalia Refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Eyewitnesses and relatives of the victims told the BBC that those who were killed were a couple and their five children from the Al -Asala family.
The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others took hostage.
At least 55,637 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health in the region.
