A TikTok user shared a post noting that Hoying could be seen wearing a different hat in the background of each of his fellow contestants’ post-dance interviews. A viewer suggested that this was likely a reference to Ryan Evans, who wore similar hats in High school musical films.
Tisdale starred in all three High school musical Films released in 2006, 2007 and 2008, respectively. She also portrayed the character in a subsequent spin-off film in 2011 Sharpie’s Great Adventure.
