The Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) was officially suspended for a week due to the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. IPL Arun Dhumal president confirmed that continuing the championship under the current circumstances was not true.

The IPL Chairman added: “We were studying (a full comment), and we were discussing it with all stakeholders, and it was appropriate to suspend it for a week, evaluate the situation, and then make a final call.”

Moreover, Dhumal repeated that the future of the Indian Premier League 2025 will be reviewed later, as the current focus on standing united with the armed forces and the government. He pointed out that a final decision will be taken after carefully evaluating the situation and consulting all the main stakeholders.

He signed by saying, “Look, as you know now, the entire country focuses on winning this war, and we want to show our solidarity with our armed forces and with our government. This is the focus yet; we do not think of everything else yet. Therefore, we will review the situation, and we may take a call after discussing it with all the law.”
