Kai Hafertz may achieve his long -awaited return from the injury, as Arsenal is looking to secure the Champions League qualification against his colleagues in Newcastle on Sunday.

The German striker has been marginalized since the knee tears were shredded into the warm weather training camp in Dubai in February, and he was expected to be excluded for the rest of the season.

But he achieved a rapid recovery, and after he trained this week, he could participate against Magpies.

It looks good – arteta

Boss Michel Artita said: “We will decide that tomorrow.

“I think his work rate, the work he did – is a lot of credit for all the medical staff of all the work they have done for the past few months, because they were paying each other.

“We know how important Kay is for us. The fact that it seems in good condition, I think he has improved a lot of standards that are very important to the attacker to give the best opportunity and see the transformation, which was really impressive.”

Hefitz was a great Miss for Arsenal, who was lacking in a recognized striker since he was afflicted. His absence, and Gabriel’s absenteeism, hindered the artillery hopes and moved their attention to returning to the Champions League after the periods of this season to the semi -finals.

Winning at the weekend will make sure, although the draw will likely be enough.

ARTETA is looking for a special occasion

ARTETA added: “It was a tremendous effort from each of them (the players) in light of these circumstances. The last match at home is always a special occasion, which is our opportunity to end the Champions League qualification.

“A beautiful moment to say thanks to all our supporters who were on every trip and every land.

“This may be the largest and best day in the season in which you can say thanks to them and they can show what they are thinking about the team.”

While Arteta receives good news about Havertz, there is still concern elsewhere with Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli, Jurrien Timber and Lendro TroSard.

Mikel Merino was suspended after its red card in a 2-2 draw in Liverpool at the end of last week.
