The country’s president, Voludmir Zelinski, said that the deadly shooting suspect of the prominent Ukrainian politician Andrei Barobi.
The 54 -year -old parliament was killed by a striker who pretends to be a courier in the city of Lviv, western on Saturday, which led to a chase.
Interior Minister Ukraine Igor Kleinico said in a statement issued in the early hours of Monday morning that the suspect had been arrested in the western Khamitsky area.
Parubiy rose to the lead during the mass protests in Ukraine, which called for closer relations with the European Union and dropped former Russian President Victor Yanukovic in 2014.
Clemenco said that the initial investigation had found that the killing was “carefully prepared” with the Parubiy and the road, as well as the escape plan.
He added that the National Police Force in Ukraine will provide more details later.
In a post on social media, Zelinski said he spoke to the chief public prosecutor Ruslan Karvchanko, who advised that the suspect had made a preliminary certificate.
“Urgent investigation procedures are currently underway to create all conditions of this killing,” he added, while also indicates law enforcement and prosecutors to “work around the clock.”
It seems that unreasonable footage, isolated by shooting, shows an armed wearing courier clothes approaching Parubiy in the street and carrying a weapon walking behind him.
At a press conference on Saturday, the police chief of Lev Viva Olikander Shalkhovsky said that the attacker “fired about eight shots of a firearm.”
Sources inside the law enforcement agencies in Ukraine told the BBC that the attacker was wearing his clothes to appear as a glove delivery company. The company said it “was severely shocked” of the crime and will fully cooperate with the investigation.
Parubiy was the speaker of Parliament in the country from April 2016 to August 2019.
He was one of the leaders of the demonstration in 2013-14 who called for closer ties with the European Union. He organized the “self -defense” teams that warned the camp of the growing tents in the heart of the capital Kiev during the protest.
