Armie Hammer defends love slavery after years of controversy

The “Call Me By Your Name” star recently revisited the horrific allegations that halted his career nearly four years ago, clearing up some “disturbing” cannibalism rumors while giving insight into how he feels about the controversial network.

Speaking on the Your Mom’s House podcast, the 38-year-old artist expressed how mass boredom during the pandemic has led to his sexual desires being widely mislabeled.

“The world seemed to be collapsing,” he began, “people were deeply dissatisfied with their lives. Then comes this salacious story where this actor wants to kill and eat people.”

“Suddenly, everyone was like, ‘Oh, this is more fun to focus on than the fact that I can’t leave my living room,'” Hammer continued.

As personal texts about his kinks “kept coming up and kept coming up” in the media, the Golden Globe-nominated artist quickly realized how weird those messages made him seem.

“While you’re saying that, you’re laughing to yourself, like, ‘I’m going to cut off your toe and keep it in my pocket so I have a piece of you everywhere I go,'” Hammer noted.

“Then it gets read in the court of public opinion and everyone says: ‘You’re crazy.’

To continue the conversation, Hammer specified that his descriptions of some acts of cannibalism were directly related to the “possession” aspect of slavery.

In another display of the journey Hammer has been on since the controversy, he announced in July that he was now OK with the rumors that led to his career shift.

“I’m able to kind of look at it with a sense of distance and perspective and say, ‘This is funny,'” he shared on ‘Painful lessons’ Podcast.
