Archaeologists discover a 3500 -year -old city in Peru

Archaeologists announced the discovery of an ancient city in the North Paranka province in Peru.

It is believed that the 3500 -year -old city, named Beniko, was a major commercial center linking early Pacific coast societies with those who live in the mountains of Andis and the Amazon basin.

The site is located about 200 km north of Lima, and the site is located about 600 meters (1970 feet) above sea level and is believed to have been established between 1800 and 1500 BC – at the same time that early civilizations were flourishing in the Middle East and Asia.

The researchers say the discovery sheds light on the oldest civilization in the Americas, Carral.

The drones released by researchers show a circular structure on a balcony on the side of the hill in the city center, surrounded by the remains of stone and mud buildings.

I discovered eight years of searching on the site 18 structures, including festive temples and residential complexes.

In the buildings on the site, the researchers discovered festive things, clay sculptures for human and animal characters and necklaces made of beads and seashells.

PEñico is located near where CARAL, recognized as the oldest known civilization in the Americas, is located 5,000 years ago at about 3000 BC in the Supe Peru Valley.

CARAL includes 32 Minments, including large pyramid structures, advanced irrigation agriculture and urban settlements. It is believed that it has developed in isolation from other early civilizations in India, Egypt, Sombeeria and China.

Dr. Roth Shadi, an archaeologist who led recent research to Beniko and Karaal’s digging in the 1990s, said that the discovery was important to understand what civilization became Carle after it was eliminated due to climate change.

Dr. Shadi told Reuters that the Beniko community was “located in a strategic location for trade, to exchange with societies from the coast, highlands and forests.”

At a press conference that revealed the results on Thursday, archaeologist Marco Machkaway, a researcher at the Ministry of Culture, said that the importance of Beniko is that it is a continuation of the Carral Association.

Peru is home to many of the most important archaeological discoveries in the Americas, including the Inca Castle in Macho Piccho in the Andes Mountains and mysterious Nazca lines engraved in the desert along the central coast.
