The man accused of lighting the fuse of death Palisades fire On New Year’s Day in Southern California, they frequently posted anti-Trump posts on social media and shared how global warming is causing climate change.
One story shared by Jonathan Rinderknecht, 29, was from ProPublica, titled “Climate change It will lead to a new American immigration,” which depicts a burning hillside in California.
He also shared another article entitled “Senator Kamala Harris “Meat is destroying the planet,” she says, and also posted a link to contribute to former President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign.
Rinderknecht’s other posts include photos of Trump supporters crying after losing the 2020 election, as well as sharing a post claiming President Donald Trump inherited a great economy from former President Barack Obama, but “destroyed” it during COVID-19.

Rinderknecht has posted frequently about climate change and shared another story in 2020 titled “The Great Climate Migration Has Begun.” In another post, he shared a story titled “Summer can get too hot for humans.”
While Rinderknecht has not posted many photos, one photo from 2014 shows him wearing face paint that depicts a skull with his mouth open, as well as fake blood dripping down his neck.

Rinderknecht worked as an Uber driver in Los Angeles from New Year’s Eve 2024 to New Year’s Day 2025, federal authorities said, adding that two of his passengers expressed that he “appeared agitated and angry that night after he dropped off a passenger in Pacific Palisades.”
