Liverpool have received a huge boost in their quest to sign one of the players they have been trying to sign.

Under coach Arne Slott, most of the players managed to perform well but one of the players who performed poorly was left-back Andy Robertson.

The Scotland international was sent off in the last match against Fulham which ended in a 2-2 draw at Anfield, and his performance earlier in the season against Arsenal was a sign of major concern for the Reds.

The Premier League leaders are looking to sign a new left-back, and one of the players on their shortlist is Fulham left-back Anthony Robinson.

The American international was impressive in Fulham’s recent visit to Anfield and showed his quality by keeping Mohamed Salah quiet.

Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez and Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies have both been linked with a move to Liverpool alongside Robinson.

According to signBoth Manchester United and Manchester City will enter a race with Liverpool to sign the left-back.

The American international said:

“I’m very happy here. The fact that there is interest from other teams is great. Obviously it’s all about whether someone wants enough from me to pay what Fulham are asking. So, if the club thinks it’s a good idea, I’ll leave.”

The left-back would be the ideal option for Liverpool because he is as good in attack as he is in defence.

He already has six assists this season in the league, third behind Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka.

Robinson would fit like a glove at Anfield and the type of football Slott plays at the club, the defender would fit well into the Dutchman’s system.

The left-back position needs attention at Liverpool, and Robertson’s poor form and Kostas Tsimikas’ fitness issues have shown that a new player in the position is badly needed.

Club icon Jamie Carragher has urged The Reds will sign Bournemouth’s Kirkese as their new left-back.

Wolves defender Rayan Ait Nouri is another option on the shortlist From the club.
