Liverpool won 3-2 Atletico Madrid in the European Champions League earlier tonight.
Despite the leadership of 2-0 during the first six minutes of the game, Liverpool found himself on the terms of the level after the 81st minute. Two goals from Marcus Lorenti and countless opportunities from the host team of the Spanish outfit were allowed to return to the game.
Virgil Van Digk scored a winning winner for his team at the time of stopping.
Liverpool opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the game, thanks to the deviant effort from Andrew Robertson. I doubled this feature after a few minutes through Mohamed Salah.
Andrew Robertson late to win and his goal
Talk to the media after the game, Robertson said: “I was just trying to enter the goalkeeper line, so he couldn’t see him. It is a great end, give me the Puskas Award now!
“We have a lot of new players, and they need stability. Playing with a big club like this is not easy. They all really have done good. They are the future. They will move this club forward. They have shown glimpses and they will only improve.”
Liverpool leaves it late again
Liverpool has now scored five winners in all competitions this season, and it will be interesting to know if they can grind more comfortable in the coming weeks. Although they have shown an incredible mentality to win the games at the end, they are not sustainable, and Liverpool will need to manage the foot better.
In general, it was impressive performance from Liverpool, and they created multiple opportunities. They managed to open the Spanish uniform again and again. They will need to be more clinical by completing opportunities in the upcoming matches.
