In a horrific incident that took place in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, a woman in Yendagandi village, named Undi Mandal, was left in complete terror after she received a package containing the body of an unidentified person.
According to reports from IANS, the recipient, Naga Tulsi, has approached the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for financial assistance to build her house. In response, the organization initially sent its tiles to the project.
Tulsi then sought additional help and was ensured that she had access to electrical appliances such as lights, fans and switches. She even received a WhatsApp confirmation, indicating that these items are coming.
On Thursday evening, a package arrived at Naga Tulsi’s home, delivered by someone claiming to contain the promised electrical appliances. However, upon opening the package, Tulsi was horrified to find the body of a man inside.
Her family was shocked by this discovery and immediately informed the police. The authorities quickly arrived at the scene, began an investigation, and sent the body to a government hospital for an autopsy.
A letter inside the parcel demanded Rs 1.30 crore, warning the family of dire consequences if the amount was not paid.
District Police Director Adnan Naeem Asmi visited the village to follow up on the case himself. Authorities are working to trace the person who delivered the package and have summoned representatives of the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for questioning.
Preliminary police findings revealed that the body, which belonged to a man aged about 45, had shown signs of death 4 to 5 days ago. Detectives investigate the possibility of foul play and check missing persons reports from nearby police jurisdictions. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
