Ana Navarro likens Snoop Dogg to a “trained Seal” for his performance at Trump’s inauguration ceremonies

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro compared Snoop Dogg to a “coached seal” as he performed at President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

In the days before Trump Opened on MondayHis supporters celebrated on several occasions around the nation’s Capitol. One celebration was the Crypto Ball, hosted by the White House’s AI and David “Crypto Czar” Sachs, which featured a performance by Snoop Dogg.

“I think the thing that put Snoop in the spotlight is because of the things that Snoop Dogg said 10 days before the inauguration in 2017,” Navarro said. “So look, if you spoke out against Trump and stood against him in 2017, but you were there now, if you spoke out against Trump on January 7, 2021, but you were there now clapping for him like a trained seal…Donald Trump hasn’t changed, you’ve changed.”

In January 2017, the rapper posted a video threatening to “roast the motherfucker” of any “Uncle Tom a-n—a” who performed at Trump’s inauguration at the time. He also made a video mocking Trump’s assassination and suggested that calls to make America “great again” were a reference to a time period of racial segregation.

Earlier, co-host Sunny Hostin played a clip of former Clinton White House aide Keith Boykin criticizing entertainers performing during Trump’s inauguration. He said Trump had “attacked black people” during his time in office, and suggested they “insult these people when you go and lead this guy.”

Hostin said Boykin’s comments were “really important” and said Americans should remember who Trump really is.

Co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin objected to artists being targeted simply for performing at a political event.
