Activists who were planning to sail in a helper ship to Gaza say it was shocked by drones in international waters off the coast of Malta – and it appears to have accused Israel of being behind the attack.

The FRIDOL FLOTILLA Alliance said that its ship was targeting local time 00:23 on Friday and issued a SOS signal immediately after the attack. The group said it had planned to sail Gaza and “challenge the siege and Israel illegal” there.

The Maltese government said that a fire on the ship “was controlled overnight” and that no victims were reported.

There was what was said by 12 crews and four activists on the boat, while NGOs said that 30 activists were on board.

The NGO called for calling on Israeli ambassadors to respond to “violating international law, including the ongoing siege and the bombing of the civil ship.”

The Israeli army said it was looking into reports of the attack.

The FRIDILLA coalition has downloaded a video that showcased a fire on one of its ship, but it did not indicate whether anyone had been injured. He said that the attack seemed to target the birth, which left the ship without strength and at risk of drowning.

The ship was 17 nautical miles (31.5 km) east of Malta when it was beaten.

Cyprus responded to the SOS signal by sending a ship, the charity said, but it was not “providing the decisive electrical support required.”

The coalition is a campaign to end the siege of Israel in Gaza.

Two months ago, Israel closed all crossings to Gaza – prevented all goods, including food, fuel and medicines from entering – and later resumed its military attack, and ended the ceasefire for two months with Hamas.

The Israeli army launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented attack across the border on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken into account.

At least 52,418 people were killed in Gaza during the war that followed, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health in the region.
