Amazon India pumps 2000 rupees this year to support its infrastructure before the Amazon Great Indian Festival (GIF), which starts on September 23. The investment covers the expansion of the centers of loyalty and delivery, the luxury of delivery partners, and the enhancement of the ability to ensure faster delivery during what the company calls the largest shopping event per year.
Sorap Srivastava, Vice President, Categories, Amazon India, Business today, has told the festival the festival will exceed 140 rupees, which makes this largest version so far. He said: “Every wonderful Amazon Indian Festival was larger than before. This will be the largest festival yet.”
Amazon 45 launched new delivery centers and raised the logistical services network to enable delivery on the same day on more than a million products and delivery the next day to nearly four million products. The company says preparations for sale start almost a year ago to meet the demand for festive peak.
Shoppers can look at 65 % discounts on home appliances and deduct up to 40 % on smartphones, along with 10 % cash recovery on SBI, credit, and EMI transactions. In addition, Amazon Pay will later extend immediate credit to $ 60,000, helping customers to finance shopping, travel reservations or festive purchases.
On the part of the sellers, Amazon expects 1.7 million sellers to participate, with strong enthusiasm from small and medium-sized companies in level cities 2 and Tier-3. “Government reforms allowed sellers to operate all of India without material presence in every state, and the really weakest digital trade,”
The festival also reflects a broader trend for the consumer towards excellence. Amazon is an increase in demand for dual -door refrigerators on mono -door models, front load washing machines through the upper load, and a smartphone upgrade cycle where customers are looking for more distinct features.
Shopping patterns are also expected to follow a regional and seasonal flavor. The early stage of the sale is likely to be driven by smartphones, electronics and home appliances, while the period before Navratri and Diwali will see a growing demand for home products, kitchen, beauty, and festive decoration.
Last year, Amazon 18,000 was scored per minute in PEAK during its main day event, which is 50 % higher than the previous version. The company expects the great Indian festival to build this momentum and set new festive e -commerce criteria in India.
