Alstom, the French -shares, provided 500 electric locomotives for the Indian railway.
The 500 PRIMA T8 Wag12B, fully manufactured in India, was sent from the Manufacturing Facility in Alstom in MadhePura, Pihar.
Alstom provides 800 high -line locomotives, a dual division, with 12,000 hp for charging services, under a decade of 3.5 billion euros ($ 3.7 billion).
These locomotives can withdraw approximately 6000 tons at speeds of up to 120 km/h.

Wag-12B locomotives are produced on the built-in Greenfield manufacturing site in MadhePura, BIHAR, a joint venture between Indian railways.
This initiative is said to represent the “largest” foreign direct investment in the Indian railway sector.
This facility has a production capacity of 120 locomotives annually, as alstom has approximately 90 % resettlement.
This project is an example of the “Make in India” initiative, where more than 85 % of the components are obtained locally, according to Alstom.
