Alexander Isaccac has yet to train in Newcastle’s Premier League with Everton on Sunday, but President Edi Hao says he is still a “chance” for the striker.
Izak scored 23 goals in the league this season, but he missed the last weekend defeat in Arsenal due to the thigh injury.
It will serve as a major blow to Newcastle if he misses looking at what is at the stake in St. James Park.
Tynsiders are fourth in the Premier League, but the level on points with Chelsea and Aston Villa in fifth and sixth, with Nottingham Forest in the seventh place.
The first five teams of the Champions Champions League are qualified next season.
Winning will confirm Newcastle, but anything less means that they will rely on good deeds elsewhere.
Eddie Haw on Alexander Issak:
“Alex is fine, he hasn’t trained with us yet, but he has made good progress. The next few days will be very important to have a weekend. pic.twitter.com/ne31rqolee

When asked about Isaac, Hao said: “He is fine. He hasn’t trained with us yet, but he has made good progress throughout the week. They will be very important for his availability on Sunday. There is an opportunity.
“We will leave it until tomorrow (before we decide whether ISak can play), but this week he was only training individually and building his burden. He was running and feeling fine at the present time, but running one thing and kicking the ball is something else.”
Kieran Trippier is also doubtful while Joelinton will definitely be absent.
Magpies is not assured of the best five places-Howe
Newcastle is the preferred candidate to prove the presence of the five best spots, but Howe accepts that there is still a lot of work to do it.
He added: “Not in any way is given.
It was difficult to overcome Everton and did not give up many goals.
“They also have threats in their team. So, we must focus and focus on what we have to do to win the game.
“I don’t think we can search for any preferences for anyone – we can only do our bottom.
“For us, we know what we have to do.”
