Alexander-Arnold expresses his pride for the first time at Real Madrid while Alonso preaches patience after clouds

Trent Alexander-Arnold expressed his pride in his first appearance at Real Madrid despite the disappointment of a 1-1 draw with Hillal, as the new coach Xabi Alonso insisted on the change would take time.

“The second half was much better than the first,” Alonso told a news conference after the match. “In the first half, we lacked a lot of things, we had no balance. We talked about it.

“I loved the reaction. We were able to change our rhythm, control more control, and play more in the opposition half. It’s a process. We have to take the positives and search for improvement.

“I knew it would take some time. There are things that we should change. We will have to correct them, and we will continue to do so.
