“The amount of additional £ 2000 can make all the teams in local clubs,” said Badi Power ambassador, England striker and Liverpool. “It can keep the lights on operation, keep the facilities open and accessible and provide funds that affect the need to invest in equipment or training volunteers.
“These clubs are not only related to sports. They give people a place to belong, build confidence and stay active. This is why Cash4clubs is very important, and I urge people to apply.”
With the high cost of living throughout the UK, sports clubs stated that high daily costs and insurance bills and difficulty finding other employees and volunteers make daily operations a challenge. Nearly a quarter of the clubs surveyed that they will not be financially not sustainable within a year.
“Throughout my career, inside and outside the stadium, I watched the amazing strength of sport to transform lives.” Betfair Ambassador, Shearer, said. “Clubs and organizations at the local base level are not nice; they are basic societal origins. These grants can provide vital help and influence, especially in disadvantaged areas, can be deep.”
Cash4clubs is offered so far
In 2025, nearly 32,000 people have benefited from 200 different clubs from the fund. This includes the American Football Swindon Storm Club, the Deaf Deaf Association, Nyinga in Parkinson’s Wigan, which combines taekwondo, rock boxing and mixed martial arts to help the participants face Parkinson’s disease.
“The grants from Cash4clubs allowed us to expand our offers to meet this need, including fulfillment of the cost of additional training fees as well as maintaining the current seasons,” said Paul Williams of Ninja in Parkinson. “As such, we can continue to help people with Parkinson’s by giving them the physical and social activity they need strongly.”
Sports clubs and community activities until December 8 have to apply for the Cash4clubs grant, as this year’s request application has made a special focus on clubs that want to increase participation in sport in their local community.
“Sports clubs at the base level are the heart of the vibrant societies by beating, but high costs mean that many are fighting now for survival,” added Kevin Harrington.
“For this reason we committed 500,000 pounds through our Cash4clubs program this year: to give local institutions the support they need to keep the doors open, inspire participation and provide opportunities for adults to stay active and participate in sports and all the additional advantages that bring them.”
