A statement issued by the Spanish Football Association read: “After several days in the hospital with viral meningitis, Itana Bonmayi was discharged from the hospital and will join the Spanish national team training camp in the coming days.”
Bonmati was a major member of the Spain team who won the 2023 World Cup – after beating England in the final – and the 2024 Nations League.
