Adanyi collection entities get a full share in Jaiprakash Associas

The Competition Committee in India (CCI) agreed to the proposed acquisition Jaiprakash Associats Ltd (Gal) by the Adani group entities, according to an official statement. This announcement, which was also shared on the CCI’s X (formerly on Twitter), mentioned that Adany Enterrises (AEL), ADANI Infrastructure and Developers (Aidpl), or any other Adanyi that may acquire up to 100 % in Jal. A detailed order will be followed on approval.

Jal is currently undergoing insolvency procedures for companies under the insolvency and bankruptcy law, 2016, in accordance with the directives of the National Company’s Law Court (NCLT), God’s Court. The Adanyi collection made its suggestion to CCI in July after making an unconditional offer for the debt -full bloc.

Earlier this month, on August 5, CCI also agreed to a competitor from Dalmia Bharat for 100 % Jal under insolvency decision. Besides Adanyi and Dalmia, among the other interested letters Vedanta Group, Jindal Power and PNC Infratech, all of them approached CCI to secure clearance to provide their plans to the COC Committee (COC).

According to the directives of the Supreme Court, the CCI gesture is mandatory before COC can vote on any decision plan that is a mixture under the competition law. In a previous case, Giby Infraich’s proposal to regain control of the diverse group refused.

To date, five companies have provided – Adany Enterrises, Dalmia Bharat Center, Vedanta Group, Jindal Power and PNC Infratech – plans to solve it for Jal.

He was accepted to insolvency on June 3, 2024, by NCLT’s ALLABAD BENCH, Jal Cirp entered after failing to pay the loan. The credits filed claims of 57,185 rupees, with the National Asset RecONSTRUCTIONY COMPANY LTD (NARCL)-which bought the stressful JAL debts from a consortium led by SBI-which was the largest demand.

The Gal wallet extends multiple sectors. In real estate, it has rating projects such as Jaypee Greens in Greater Noida, Wishtown in Noida and Jaypee International Sports City near Gayar Airport. The hospitality arm owns five hotels throughout the Delhi NCR, Mussoorie and AGRA. It also holds three areas of commercial offices in the NCR area.

In cement, Jal has four plants in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Maadi Pradesh, along with the limestone rented limestone in MP, although the plants are still impractical. The group also has stakes in subsidiary companies such as Jaiprakash Power Ventures, Yamuna Expressway Toled Ltd and Jaypee Infrastructure Development Ltd.

It is worth noting that Jaypee Infratech-another group company-obtained by Suraksha Group, based in Mumbai, is under insolvency. Sorasha is currently charged with completing nearly 20,000 housing units parked in Nuwaida and the Great Nuwaida.
