Act now to save lives in Gaza, the President of the International Committee urges world leaders

Gaza has become worse than hell on the ground, according to the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirgana Spulgrock.

Speaking to the BBC Jeremy Bown’s international editor at the ICRC headquarters in Geneva, Spoljaric says that what is happening in Gaza goes beyond any acceptable legal, moral and humanitarian standard.

It calls on world leaders to do more, to “behave now” to help save lives in the region.

ICRC is an international organization working in war areas and has more than 300 employees in Gaza, most of them Palestinians.
