A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in an ax attack at Warsaw University on Wednesday, according to the Polish police.
A 22 -year -old Polish man was arrested regarding the attack that the university described as a “huge tragedy”.
Both victims worked at the university. In a statement, the university said that the woman who was killed was a member of the employees, and the injured man worked in security.
The motivation is not yet known for the attack.
The police said that the attacker entered the university campus at 18:40 local time (16: 40 g).
From there he entered a university hall, according to a spokesman for the Prosecutor.
Some details appeared about what happened next.
“We express our great sadness and sympathy for the family and loved ones,” the university president said in a statement.
The President of the University announced that May 8 will be a day for mourning for the college.
Another Polish news port, Gazeta and Weborsa Daily says the attacker was a law student in the third year.
