A man from Los Angeles tries to return home from… Phoenix metro area He got himself a joy ride while taking Waymo to the airport.
“Okay, why is this happening to me on Monday?” “I’m in a Waymo car… and this car is going in circles,” Mike Jones asked in a video he shot while in a self-driving car in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In the video, the car can be heard calling Waymo support for assistance.
“I’ve received a notification that your vehicle may be experiencing some steering issues,” a customer support agent can be heard telling Jones.

“I have a flight to catch. Why is this thing spinning in a circle? I feel dizzy,” he replies. He then told the agent he was wearing a seatbelt and “couldn’t get out of the car.”
“Has this been hacked? What’s going on?” he asks. “I feel like I’m at the movies. Is someone kidding me?”

Waymo told FOX Business that the incident occurred on December 9, adding that a later software update addressed the issue.
Johns was just over 5 minutes late, the email said, and the car was able to take him to his destination after the rider support team successfully stopped the car from spinning.

When Johns shared the video on social media, he wrote, “Waymo customer service is automated and… “Powered by artificial intelligence.”
Waymo said they tried to contact him, and left a follow-up voicemail. Johns was also not paid for the trip Alphabet companyOwned company added.
Johns’ post said he’ll “keep it old fashioned and just #Lyft or #Uber” from now on.
