A member of the New York Association presented an invoice that would prevent sports books operators from reducing betting depending on the size or frequency of their bets.
Member of the Democratic Society Alex Poraz presented the bill, called A9125, on September 26. It aims to prevent sports betting operators from reducing sports betting based on the size and frequency of their deposits and bets, or fully banned them based on their success rate. The draft law is now referred to the race and betting committee. With the closure of the legislative session in New York until January, the bill will not be submitted until then.
If the draft law is approved, this will lead to amending the state law and means that sports books cannot limit or prevent users because they are financially acquired from their bet. There will be exemptions in place to cover events when suspicious of suspicious betting activity or when there are indications of gambling addiction or associated damage.
Whenever the approved sports seats are limited or prohibited, the draft law will require the operator to submit a notice and an explanation to the user within 24 hours.

The draft law has not advanced since its introduction and will now need to wait until the new year, in the same as AS BORES ‘A9125, thanks to the closed legislative session in New York.
