A man was arrested after driving a car through the doors of the Russian consulate in Sydney.
The police were summoned to the consulate in the suburb of Walahra at approximately 8:00 local time, after reports that an unauthorized vehicle was parked in the corridor.
Try to talk to the driver, before breaking the gates at the entrance to the property.
The police said that the 39 -year -old was arrested at the scene and helped the police in their inquiries. One of the officers suffered a injury in his hand, but there were no other reports of injuries.
The police have not revealed any other information about the driver or its motives, but it says the inquiries are continuing.
One of the witnesses told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper that the man had been arrested without a clear conflict.
“I just saw the policemen drawing their rifles on the man, and they asked the man to get out of his car,” one of the neighbors, who wanted to not reveal his identity, told the newspaper.
