As it happensA colleague says that the journalist Al -Jazeera was killed in the targeted strike, “loved by everyone.”

When Al -Jazeera journalist Hani Mahmoud saw an air raid that illuminates the sky over the Shiva Hospital in Gaza City, he knew immediately that his colleagues had died.

In a targeted blow on Sunday, Israeli forces killed five journalists Al Jazeera Those who were working from a tent in front of the besieged hospital.

Israel says that the strike targeted the Hamas militants successfully, but the advocates of freedom of the press say that it was supposed to silence journalists on the front lines of the bloody conflict in Gaza.

Al -Jazeera correspondent, Nas al -Sharif, 28, was killed, along with the reporter, Mohamed Qreiqeh, the cameraman of the camera Ibrahim Zahr, Muhammad Noufal and Mamin Elia. Mohamed Al -Khalidi, an independent local correspondent, said at the air raid, according to the doctors at the Shiva Hospital.

Israel accused the head of the Hamas dungeon, which “is responsible for the progress of missile attacks against Israeli civilians,” referring to the intelligence and documents in Gaza as evidence.

Al Jazeeraand The Committee for the Protection of Journalists and United Nations Special Rapporteur Irene Khan Did they all say that Israel’s allegations about Sharif are unfounded?

Mahmoud says that Israel was putting its speech against the island in recent months, as Palestinian journalists in the media in Qatar are drawing as terrorists, with a special focus on the Sharif.

Mahmoud Al -Sharif and his other colleagues visited the tent a few hours before they killed them. Here is part of his conversation with As it happens Aarti host guest.

What did you see and heard about this strike that killed your colleagues?

I was actually a block away from the bomb site, where the tent is located.

As you know, many of us work from the street. We created these temporary tents because all the buildings that we occupied once and our offices (in) was destroyed.

So our colleagues from the Arabian Peninsula had their tents in front of the main Shiva gate, which is the road to the emergency department. For this reason, they have always had the opportunity to take all these pictures coming from the Shiva Hospital for the degrees of injuries that are transferred to the hospital.

Just a few hours before this happened, you are right in that place. I finished a report on health facilities and severe situations within these health facilities, and stopped at the tent.

We attracted the conversations. We laughed a little. We talked even when all this ends, we must take a long break. And we insisted on a long time, because it has passed 22 months of uncompromising coverage, and both people and Muhammad, correspondents from the Arabian Peninsula, agreed that, yes, there must be a break after all this.

I left the tent (f) back to our car in a good note, on God’s willingness, and will end soon. We hope to hear the resumption of ceasefire talks instead of Continuing with the news of the reshaping of the entire Gaza Strip. We wished each other good luck and to be safe and protected. But luck was not next to them this time.

So how did you hear news that there was an air strike and that your friend was killed?

The attack was very huge. I could have seen it shining the sky over the Shiva, and I saw () () I saw smoke and knew that it should be the only place that the Israeli army set as a goal, especially … a week after the intensification of the slaughterhouse campaign, the incitement campaign against the island, against the crew members on the ground, correspondence, and the work we do.

They all joined together in a very evil campaign, inciting a campaign it described as names, describing it as a terrorist or describing it as a company belonging to Hamas and its military wing, but without providing any fundamental evidence at all.

For every journalist, the Israeli army put the same accurate statement that they were members of Hamas, but they failed to provide any concrete evidence at all.

I hope you are also able to describe our listeners how people were when the cameras were parked. I know he had a wife and left behind two young children as well.

He had a care family, a (Kant) family in a continuous movement, as it was displaced more than once from one place to another. When he was outside the camera, he did a large extent the same exact thing we did – search for food, search for water, and make sure that the shelter was safe for his wife, for his mother, for two young.

He was also very loved by everyone because he talked about people. They reported their stories. He reported their suffering and the challenges they faced every day of their lives during the past 22 months.

It was not a surprise to see a large crowd appearing for his funeral at the Shiva Hospital. The hospital square and most of them were filled with the people who knew it, and the people they supported, and helped them throughout these difficulties.

We know that people were one of a few journalists who were killed in this particular strike. How do you continue to know that the danger is very close?

I have always said that we are steps away from death, and he feels more imminent at the present time because this is a systematic campaign to get rid of all the voices that amplify the voices of the Palestinians and that they suppress the voices of criticism, and the voices that are compared to the horror of this genocide.

What we do is just a tip of the iceberg for what we see and document it every day. There are scenes that we cannot get on the screen because they are very graphics. So only five to 10 percent is limited to what we test on a daily basis on the island screen. Not everything, because it will be bright to show some scenes and graphics shots that we launch on a daily basis or the reports we do.

I do not feel safe. The same applies to two million Palestinians through the Gaza Strip. Because Gaza is not protected … under the grinding of this brutal war machine.

There is no guarantee that this interview will end and nothing will happen to me. There is no guarantee that in the middle of this interview nothing will happen.

We just live a minute every minute now.
