A British Airways crew member accidentally deployed the plane’s emergency slide when… London Heathrow Airport Monday morning, delaying the flight for hours.
The flight, which was scheduled to head to Brussels, was delayed for almost three hours after an error by the employee, A British Airways A Fox Business Digital spokesperson said Tuesday.
“We have apologized to customers for the delay and our teams have been working hard to arrange an alternative aircraft so customers can travel with us as planned,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
The spokesman said there were no customers on board at the time of the incident, and emergency services responded as part of a standard precaution.
