In “Big Bold Beautiful Journey”, Farrell plays David, a man who is transferred on a magic journey with Sarah (Margot Ruby), where the two gets a review of multiple aspects of their lives so far. In the case of David, he is transferred to his high school days, a time when he was 15 years old and was playing his leadership role, J. Pierrepont Finch, in production 1961 Frank Loser Music, “How to succeed in working without really trying.” Farrell shines in the part, gives the opening number, “How to succeed”, like this is the old Hollywood Holood that Robert Morse (who played Vinci in the release of a 1967 movie of music) for his money. It is not surprising that Farrell has a great feeling of timing; After all, Some of its best offers depend on its comic slides, such as “In Bruges” and “The Lobster”. However, it is surprising to have a sound like a great clear tone, and that it is physically graceful when it comes to dance design. In other words, unlike some of the stars that were pressured in doing musical numbers (look at you, Half of the Mama Mia movie crewFarrell is completely released what might be a joke in less hands, the idea that we see David in the middle of age in adolescence.
Of course, a “beautiful journey” is not a real movie (though, given its hint of the new French wave, specifically Jacques Demy, may have been). Therefore, although this performance for Farrell’s is, it is not enough, and only appetite for more actor in the musical situation. “How to succeed in working without trying really” is likely to be very old to justify a new cinematic edition with a large budget, so we can not only suggest that FARRELL are threw up in something like this. There is always a possibility that he will star in a completely new movie, “The Great Showman” or “La La Land”, which can be great. If it is a pre -existing musician, Colin Farrell must star, however, my vote will be the 1947 “Unian Population” by Ey Harburg and Fred Saymy. Yes, music is 78 years old, and yes, Proverbs of Francis Ford Coppola and Farid Astaire presented a film version in 1968. However, the story is based on the imagination enough so that it can be conveniently updated to the modern era (something that Coppola did with his movie), and certainly appeals the book’s strengths in Farrell, being a proud Irish, and as shown in “Big Bold”, a person with a tendency to material similar to the book of songs.
Whatever happens, we hope to see Farrell leads a big music movie team in just a few years.
