Scientists have discovered an old bread recipe in Türkiye – and now the local bakery that was re -created cannot keep up with the demand.
About 5,000 years ago, someone was buried a piece of charred bread under the threshold of a house in what is now known as Eczzir in central Türkiye. Archaeologists discovered this in September 2024 during the pits in Kullooba Hoyuk, a settlement in the Bronze Age that was under investigation decades ago. The preserved bread has been displayed significantly at the Eskişehir Archaeological Museum since March 28.
