Microsoft just presented Signature, a new model for Amnesty International Designed to help robots see, understand and act more intelligence. Unlike traditional artificial intelligence Models, Magma processes different types of data simultaneously – Microsoft effort naming a big leap towards “Agency AI,” Or systems that can plan and carry out tasks on behalf of the user.

The model, which uses a mixture of vision and language processing, is trained on videos, photos, robotics data and interface interactions to make them more diverse than previous models.

On its Github page, the Microsoft Research team explained how Magma can perform tasks, such as how to process robots and navigate user interfaces such as clicking buttons.

To develop technology, the company has made a partnership with researchers from the University of Maryland, the University of Wisconsin Madison and Washington University.

The launch comes at a time when Giants Tech is racing to develop artificial intelligence agents who can automate more aspects of daily life. Google offers robots -focused language models, while Openai It is designed to deal with worldly tasks such as conducting reservations, requesting groceries and filling models by writing, clicking and passing inside a specialized browser.
