Ukrainian land can be forced to surrender to end the war

President Trump promised to put a quick end to the war in Ukraine, indicating that Russia could keep at least some of the Ukrainian lands it seized. Andrew Kramer, head of the New York Times office in Kiev, explains how this will leave Ukraine divided into two parts: one side with its government in Kiev, and the other Russian satellite hit to the east.
