US President Donald Trump said on Friday he was planning to impose a tariff on imported cars on April 2.

Trump made note in the Oval Office when the journalists asked her about his tariff comments earlier in the week.

“During the next – at some point, perhaps, around April 2,” Trump said. “I would have done them on April 1, believe or do not believe. I’m a little fabulous. No, literally, we planned on April 1.

“Do you know how much money it costs? This costs a lot of money one day, but we will do this on April 2,” Trump added before assuring someone outside the camera.

The scope of definitions is unclear.

Earlier this week, the president considered a tariff of 50 or 100 percent on imported cars, saying that Canada had “stolen” the industry from the United States and that he wanted cars in Detroit.

A 25 percent stop was announced on all Canadian exports earlier this month, until early March. But Trump has since signed a matter of definitions of foreign and aluminum steel, including Canada.
