Ukraine president meet at the Munich Security Conference amid a boost to end the war of Russia, Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski called for the United States and Europe to assemble together to support Ukraine in its war against Russia.
Speaking on Friday at the Munich Security Conference, Zellinski also said that the United States, including the administration of former President Joe Biden, has never seen Ukraine as a member of NATO.
He said that Ukraine will need “security guarantees” before any talks with Russia, as US President Donald Trump presses both countries to find a quick end for a three -year war.
Shortly before sitting with US Vice President JD Vance, Zelenskyy said he would only agree to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin after negotiating a joint plan with US President Donald Trump.
The meeting, which lasted approximately 40 minutes between Vans and Zelinski, has not produced any major ads separated by leaving the most war in Europe since World War II.
“We want peace a lot,” said Zellinski. “But we need real security guarantees.”
For his part, Vans said that the Trump administration is committed to creating a permanent peace between Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier this week, Trump raised years of US -firm support to Ukraine with a phone call with Putin, after which Trump said that the two leaders are likely to meet soon to negotiate a peace agreement.
On Munich on Friday, some world leaders – including the Conservative Party leader Friedrich Mirz, who is seen as the next adviser to Germany – stood up with the Trump administration.
“There was also an agreement that the road to a permanent peace could only succeed in the nearest coordination between America and Europe,” Mirz said on the sidelines of the conference.
But there were more fears spread among other leaders at the top.
“There may be anxiety that there may be a deal that Washington wants to do with Putin effectively not only Europeans but the Ukrainians as well,” said James Paes’s diplomatic editor of Munich.
But there was a strict warning from Yulia Navalia, the widow of the Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, who died in a Russian criminal colony: “Even if you decide to negotiate with Putin, just remember that he will lie.”
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock also expressed her concerns about the Trump administration’s proposal to return Russia in the leading group of economy in seven (G7).
“In our capacity as G7 partners, we have repeatedly explained over the past three years after this brutal and complete Russian invasion: there can be no natural cooperation with Russia,” said Perbuk.
Just hours before the Vans and Zelinski meeting, Russian armed unmanned aircraft With warheads, the protective cortex of the Chornobyl nuclear plant in the KYIV region, the worst nuclear accident in the world in 1986.
Zelenskyy and UN Atomic Agency confirmed that radiation levels have been unchanged.
Zelinski told Munich correspondents later that the attack was “a very clear greeting from Putin and the Russian Federation to the security conference.”
