New York (Reuters) -A new category of employees at the Financial Protection Office of American consumers received the termination notifications on Thursday, according to five sources and termination messages, indicating that the Trump administration was bypassing the test staff because it is looking to shoot the federal staff.

The notifications to dozens of the so -called “term employees”, full -time workers in decades with end dates, began to reach Thursday evening, and we learned that they are terminated on the same day, according to sources and copies of the termination notifications sent to the employees who were reviewed by Reuters .

Some employees discovered that they had lost access to the Agency IT systems before receiving their termination messages, two sources said.

The administration and budget office, which is also managed by the Acting Director for CFPB and CFPB, did not respond immediately for the suspension requests.

Reuters could not confirm the number of employees who were separated immediately.

The shootings are part of a great effort by President Donald Trump and his assistant, billionaire businessman Elon Musk, to expand the federal bureaucracy. Trump said that the government was enlarged and lost a lot of money aimed at waste and fraud. The shooting also started elsewhere in the federal government, including at the Ministry of Education and Small Business Administration.

But the Trump administration’s actions are increasingly challenged. Critics questioned the administration’s approach, and experts taught concerns about the legitimacy of the shooting, as most civil service employees can only be expelled for bad performance or misconduct.

Earlier on Thursday, the CFPB employee federation, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colorful Persons, filed a federal lawsuit asking the court to prevent the Trump administration’s efforts to kill the agency.

Range employees

The latest finishing messages were sent to CFPB employees, on February 13, by Adam Martinez, Acting Human Capital Agency at the agency.

Long -year employees have more than one year and up to four years, which can be extended, according to federal regulations. The first year of service is a trial period, when it can be completed by the agency at any time. The notifications reviewed by Reuters were for the employees who were at the agency for more than a year.

“The purpose of this memorandum is to make your work an effective completion at the end of work on February 13, 2025,” Martinez wrote.
