“There was no murder,” the Canadian doctor says.

Canadian doctors are led by a group of international medical experts who believe that the most abundant killer in Britain in the modern era may have been mistaken.

Lucy Litteni, a former newborn nurse, was convicted in two experiences, in 2023 and 2024, to kill seven former children and attempted to kill seven others. All deaths occurred between 2015 and 2016 at the Chiester Hospital in northwestern England, where she worked.

The prosecution argued that letby intentionally injected the weak children – in some days only – with air, poisoning them with insulin or their pressure with milk.

Letby, then in the early thirties, was sentenced to 15 full chapters, which means that he will never be released. The appeal was rejected against her conviction.

The headlines of the British newspaper described it as “the worst serial killer for children in Britain” and “cold, calculates the killer.” The case was closed.

But Dr. Show Li, the retired president of the newly born pediatric department at the University of Toronto, believes that Leti may have made a mistake, and he presented these results at a press conference in London on Tuesday.

Lee, head of the Canadian newborns Foundation, collected a committee to examine the medical evidence presented in the case, after wider doubts about the claim.

“As a paradise, we reached a conclusion that there was no murder,” he told CBC News in an interview shortly after the press conference.

“I usually do not do medical conditions”

Lee was first contacted on the case by the LETBY defense team in October 2023, while he was on his family farm near Edmonton.

“I received this email from some UK lawyers asking whether I was going to look at the case,” he told me. “I was busy harvesting, so I ignored it.”

The prosecution in the letby case argued that the nurse had injected air into the veins of the child, and heavily bent over medical evidence after hospital staff reported the color of the skin to some of the children who died.

They argued their case using a research paper in 1989 about the blockage of the air in which me participated.

“I do not usually do medical legal cases,” he said. “I don’t enjoy them, so I don’t do them.”

But in this particular case, “because they used my paper to condemn it, I was curious about what they said and what they did.”

What he found, tells me, was a mistake. “What they said and their interpretation of its use of its condemnation was not what I said in the paper.”

The prosecution highlights many skin stains in the dead children. The press conference told me that he recently updated his paper and did not find any cases of coloring the skin -related skin by the venous system, adding: “So let’s get rid of this theory.”

He tried to provide his evidence at the ITBY court session in April 2024, but was not allowed.

“The judge said that the defense had the opportunity to contact me during the original trial, and they did not,” he explained.

Lee collected a team of 14 people-what was called “International Experts Committee of Senior Persons in the World in newborns”-to examine evidence.

The committee consisted of six Canadians, while others were from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany and Sweden.

Work for free, he told me that they aim to “give an opinion on whether, in fact, the evidence that has been used for condemnation is correct. What are the causes of death or injury.”

Their conclusion was unanimous.

“These children have died either from normal causes or bad medical care. This is what happened,” he told CBC News.

Besides the British MP, Letby’s lawyer and former head of the British Royal Pediatric College at a press conference in London, I have had the results. (None of the children concerned can be identified under British law.)

For example: The child has died 1 of the blood in the blood, not the air. Child 4 was blood rot, pneumonia, not killing. The child 9 suffered from caring for bad death and was preventable.

“If this happens in a hospital in Canada, we will close it,” he told CBC News.

The jury also heard non -medical evidence

Letby has fueled a large collection of conspiracy and alternative theories, not the least on social media.

But I don’t worry about placing his name for the results of the painting.

“I already have a good reputation,” he said. “Everyone knows my work, and I am sure of my work. Moreover, there are 14 experts – 13 others with me – they say the same.”

The jury was given more than just medical evidence to look at it.

During the first 10 -month trial, the prosecution was based on accounts from doctors and nurses. The jury also managed to access tens of thousands of pages of medical notes, text messages, social media with colleagues and hospital criticism card data.

The prosecution also made handwritten notes in the Letby house. They included phrases such as “I killed them” and “I am evil”, but also words like “despair”, “I hate my life” and “Why am I?”

Notes such as confession – something that Libyan did not do. After the condemnation, Some criminality experts claimed that the observations were meaningless and perhaps written as part of the treatment.

Critics of the prosecution do not maintain any clear motive or psychological background identical to the series’s fighting. But the prosecution said that Letby was turning when the deaths occurred, even when it moved from work overnight to this day.

The police are currently examining the care of about 4000 other children who were accepted in hospitals, where I worked as a newborn nurse.

But Dr. Lee is confident of the team’s results.

“I know that the Canadians have a feeling of clean play, and the Canadians have a feeling of right and wrong,” he said. “If there is no murder, there can be no killer. What do you do in prison?”

“This case needs to be reviewed and they need to be tried,” he said.

Letby’s only remaining opportunity is to avoid life behind bars now with the Independent Criminal Cases Review Committee. He has the authority to investigate cases in which people believe that they were wrongly convicted or judged and sent to the court as a possible abortion of justice.
