Capital brackets in the automotive industry in Canada for Trump’s definitions

After about a week of conflicting signals, the new Trump administration announced that the definitions that have been long down on imports from Canada and Mexico will move in effect on Saturday, the first Salvo to be expected to be a trade war between the allies.

What will be the effect of definitions on your city?

I will not draw another picture of being completely catastrophic if there is a 25 percent tariff. When the cannon aims directly to the auto industry or the part of the parts, this changes life for many families here.

But the effect will also feel the other side of the border as well.

This trade war will have losses from all aspects. There is no winner here. If it is related to America first and we say that we will restore all these jobs to the United States – I think it is a dream. We have built an integrated economy with Mexico, Canada and the United States, which have proven to have created many jobs in all three countries.

There is no danger, however, Canadian companies will simply move across the border to maintain access to the United States market?
