David Cote is supported by the former English Premier League referee after acknowledging the sexual life struggles

The former English Premier League referee Mark Halsa claims that David Cut’s sexual life was an open secret among his colleagues and says that the 42 -year -old is worth a second chance.

Kut was dismissed by the officials of the Limited Professional game (PGMOL) in December after a video of it appeared using a consuming language towards Liverpool and former director of the club, Juergen Klopp.

He is still under investigation from the European Football Association after he showed him a second clip smelling cocaine while working in the European Championship last summer.

COOTE admits bad options

Kut apologized to the sun last night, in which he confessed to conflicts for being gay, meaning that he was not “in a great place” and led to “really bad options”.

He said: “My sexual life is not the only reason that prompted me to be in this situation. But I do not tell an authentic story if I do not say that I am gay and that I have real conflicts while hiding it.

“My feelings were hidden as a young reference and also hidden sexually – a good quality as a referee, but it is a terrible quality as a human being. This led me to a full path of behaviors.”

On the video he watched calls for Klopp AC ***, he said: “I realize that they (his statements) did not advance to a large extent from the expected standards of judgment at the highest level and I feel very sorry for saying what I said. The comments do not reflect my views to any of the individuals concerned or My wider views in general.

COOTE was also accused of a discussion with a friend, the possibility of showing a yellow card for Ezgjan Alioski from LIDS before a match against West Brom in 2019.

However, he insisted: “There was no agreement before the game. I went and did my work. The player committed the treatment of a yellow card. I did not receive anything for that.

“I am really disappointed because anything like this has come out because it distorts the safety of the game. Whatever people think about me as a human being, I have always come out and I did my best on the field.

“I was not in a great place, and I was sending people who had no longer passionate. I was naive. (I) I really took some bad options and I really hope to repeat the time now and do things differently.”

He takes responsibility – Halsusi

Halsi, who retired from the referee in 2013 after his 14 -year -old English Premier League career, said that Cote honesty should be recognized.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Go out and take full responsibility for his actions, he does not make excuses, he takes full responsibility,” BBC Radio 5 Live told BBC 5 Live.

“He is a human being, we all make mistakes in life. Everyone makes mistakes in life and deserves a second chance and no one should go through what David is going through. I really, I really feel for him. When the referees meet, we all said things about players or managers.”

Cote received threats online and Halsi said that he could sympathize after he was suffering from the hands of the consultants during his career.

“He made some mistakes and does not deserve death threats,” he added. “I faced death threats against my family, my wife, who was fighting leukemia. They wanted to see us dead with the return of cancer. Some of the things they wanted to do for my little girl were horrific.”

In response to a question about what his reaction was if Cote came out as gay as he was while he was still governing, Halsi said: “It was very difficult. It should not be like this. He is bothering us.

“Society today, it is good for David to have obtained his friends and family showing him the love and companionship that he needs to take through this. I hope Pgmol will help him through this.”
