AJAX defender Jorrel Hato was apparently spotted in action for Liverpool yesterday amid transfer rumors linking him to a host of top clubs.

Hato has impressed with braces, establishing himself as one of the best young defenders in Europe, and he has been awarded Links with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea Recently.

The Netherlands international is certain to get his pick of any club he wants, but he may have now shown that he is leaning towards Liverpool over other suitors.

‘I cried when I spoke to Arsene Wenger’ – Which former Arsenal star says leaving the club was a big mistake?

It’s not 100% confirmed that he was at Anfield yesterday, but several fans have posted photos of someone who looks very similar to him, claiming they are convinced it is in fact the 18-year-old Dutchman in attendance…

Jorrel Hato would be an exciting signing for Liverpool

Hato could be ideal to give LFC a long-term alternative to either Virgil Van Dijk or Andrew Robertson, as he could excel as both at midfield or left-back.

One imagines Arsenal’s interest may have cooled Since they signed a similar style of player in Riccardo Calafore in the summer, while there has also been the emergence of home-grown star Myles Lewis-Skelly this season.

Hence, Hato could do well to opt for Liverpool instead, although of course attending the game doesn’t necessarily tell us anything about the transfer.

It could be that Hato is keen to get to England and watch any game, and that perhaps he will bring in some others at other clubs soon.

It’s also worth mentioning once again that it’s not 100% confirmed that this was even Hato in the game, even if a few fans are convinced of that.

We’ll have to wait and see if the player himself speaks out on his trip to Anfield, or if any other media outlets pick up the story.
