Immutable said it signed 250 Web3 games to its platform this year, or more than any other Web3 company, the company claimed.

It’s a historic milestone as the company has signed more games in 2024 than in all previous years combined.

The company’s ecosystem has grown from zero to four million users as of yesterday, driven by the inclusion of hit titles like RavenQuest and GG Survivor. RavenQuest has had a successful “Phase 3” launch, including selling out lands this week, while GG Survivor has seen two million downloads within weeks of its debut.

Immutable’s growth has been further validated by research firms such as Messari and VanEck, which confirmed the company’s approximate 70% share of the web3 gaming market.

Innovative ecosystem

Immutable continued to pioneer gamer-focused solutions with the launch of Immutable Passport in January.

Passport has revolutionized the onboarding process with features like pre-approved transactions that eliminated blockchain disruptions, integration with Telegram widgets to enhance accessibility, and built-in wallets for seamless player experiences.

Over the course of the year, Passport has evolved with significant features, while relentlessly prioritizing improving the player experience. The introduction of pre-approved transactions eliminated gameplay disruption to blockchain interactions. As of yesterday, Passport had four million subscriptions, reflecting its pivotal role in bringing millions of players into the Web3 ecosystem.

The mainnet launch of Immutable zkEVM confirmed the platform’s leadership. As the first EVM-compatible gaming blockchain, Immutable zkEVM achieved 2.5 million monthly active users within three months of launch, outpacing every major blockchain in growth based on data from Token Terminal. This innovation has provided developers and players with enterprise-class security, low costs, and massive scalability.

Empowering players and developers

In April, Immutable introduced The Main Quest, one of the largest rewards programs in Web3 gaming. This initiative brought value to players and developers, and fostered deeper engagement across the ecosystem. Titles like Pool Masters, Guild of Guardians, and Blade of God have been major contributors to the program’s success, offering rewards in the millions to active participants.

Immutable’s influence extends across the globe in 2024, with notable performances at major events. At GDC 2024, the company highlighted Passport and zkEVM’s innovative capabilities. By Gamescom, Immutable’s growth was evident, with seven of the top 10 Web3 games created on its platform.

Strategic partnerships were also announced at Korea Blockchain Week and Tokyo Game Show, including collaborations with MarbleX and Polygon, strengthening Immutable’s presence in Asia’s fast-growing gaming markets.

The most important unchangeable events of 2024

January saw the early access launch of the Immutable zkEVM Mainnet, while April saw the debut of the $100 million Inevitable Games Fund. By May, Guild of Guardians had surpassed 1 million downloads, and in November, Game7 named Immutable the fastest-growing gaming ecosystem of 2024. These milestones underscore the platform’s unparalleled trajectory and commitment to redefining gaming.

Immutable is set to build on this momentum in 2025 with the launch of its Permanent Rewards program just days ago, offering players new ways to exchange gems for weekly rewards.

While only a handful of signed games are currently on Immutable, the company is on the verge of explosive growth. Regulatory clarity and increased enterprise demand will accelerate mainstream adoption of Web3 games, with Immutable leading the charge as a full-service platform that simplifies the development process and enhances player experiences.
