FCC CARR chair removes all DEI programs, including the Digital Discrimination Task Force

in press release Posted on January 21, the FCC’s new chairman, Brendan Carr, announced the end of the agency’s promotion of all diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Among the list of DEI measures being rescinded are the FCC’s Equity Action Plan and Digital Discrimination Task Force.

The FCC announcement came a day after President Trump’s executive order entitled “ Preferably end radical and wasteful government DEI programswhich is aimed at former President Biden Executive Order 13985 Directs federal agencies to establish DEI programs.
