How did the Bronx MTA bus end up dangling on the freeway?
According to new york post, An MTA bus driver lost control, missed a turn, and crashed into a brick wall on Henry Hudson Parkway around 8:40 a.m. on Friday, January 17. X (Previously Twitter) by The New York Post It shows the bus teetering on the edge, with huge chunks of stone strewn across the road.
ABC 7 News Reports say the bus did not have any passengers on board because it had just started its route to Manhattan. The driver had difficulty maneuvering around a vehicle parked on the Henry Hudson Parkway service road. After overtaking the parked car, the bus veered off the sidewalk and got stuck between a grassy area and a ditch.
Another bus driver, stuck in heavy morning traffic a few cars away, offered to help. The second driver took the wheel to help and tried to navigate the difficult bend, but the bus slid out of control and collided with the barrier wall.

Additionally, Yonkers Depot Chairman Marcos Soler spoke with ABC 7 News about the scary incident. A vehicle parked on the road reduced the space available to an MTA bus driver, Soler said.
“The way the car is angled and parked it’s not hugging the platform, so it limits the space we have. The express buses are longer than the local buses. So, that makes it a little difficult for the express train operator to navigate, because we have 45 feet and the local buses are 40 ahead. Soler explained.
