Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but The final season of “The Boys” was a complete bloodbath and left us in our darkest mood yet. Viewers have come to expect the worst with Prime Video’s superhero satire series, which always seems to go the route of most satire. In Season 4, this meant the United States ushering in a puppet president to carry out Homelander’s (Anthony Starr) orders and enact martial law, all while our heroes were either scattered to the winds or captured. Oh, and if all that wasn’t bad enough, the mid-credits scene teased the return of everyone’s favorite soldier boy (Jensen Ackles).
Well, if you think things couldn’t get any worse, you clearly haven’t been paying enough attention. Season 5 has been confirmed to be the final season of the show It is currently in the process of filming. Of course, since this isn’t a Marvel movie hermetically sealed in the middle of an Atlanta parking lot, that means set photos have been making the rounds on social media… and all signs point to some of the series’ bleakest storylines yet. Please note that we can’t actually include specific images here — not without filing a lawsuit up the wazoo, at least — but there’s certainly no law against link To those specific images above. Now we can talk about what certainly looks to be the main conflict of the upcoming season: All of Homelander’s enemies, including many of our boys, are being herded into fascist concentration camps renamed the “Freedom Camps.” Additionally, the appearance of a vehicle called the “Kix Mobile” certainly seems to point to a new Supes team meant to poke fun at Marvel and DC alike. More details below!
Maybe Season 5 of The Boys Teenage Kix will deliver
The world of “The Boys” is poised to expand even further — and it might have something to do with that The well-received spin-off series “Gen V.” Season 5 promises (threatens?) to go out with a bang, and as we saw in last year’s finale, the various college-age characters introduced in “Gen V” are officially starting to move into the main story. But just when we thought these were going to be the youngest of the new additions for the upcoming fifth season, some stills threw another big curveball at fans… though they’re ones that readers of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s original comics might recognize.
Feast your eyes on the Teenage Kix, a team of young Supes who are this universe’s answer to more popular releases, like Teen Titans in the DC Universe or Marvel’s Young Avengers (which appear to be about to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). In the comics, the Teenage Kix are basically meant to be a parody of all the teen-oriented vigilante teams we’ve seen before. In this case, it was proven that it was funded and run by the evil corporation Vought. What’s even more interesting is that we actually know two former members of this team: speedster A-Train, played by Jessie T. Usher in the series, and diabolical genius Sister Sage (Susan Hayward), who was first introduced. Last season. (There’s also Popclaw, played by Brittany Allen in the show’s first season, but I prefer not to think about her particularly gruesome death.)
Since “The Boys” hasn’t hesitated to play fast and loose with the comics before, it’s theoretically possible that at least some of the “Gen V” crew could be incorporated into the adaptation version of Teenage Kix. Sure enough, the truck in the set photo has the faces of three young cast members emblazoned on the side, none of whom we’ve met before. We’ll have to wait and see exactly how they end up taking Season 5 of The Boys, which is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2026.
