Washington (Reuters) – A Toyota The US Department of Justice (NYSE:) unit has agreed to plead guilty and pay more than $1.6 billion in a settlement with US government agencies to settle violations related to an emissions fraud scheme, the US Department of Justice said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Justice Department, the FBI and the Environmental Protection Agency, among other agencies, have reached multiple criminal and civil resolutions with Toyota subsidiary Hino Motors, the Justice Department said.
