Stock indices in Belgium rose at the end of today’s session; Bill 20 rose 0.81%, according to Investing.com

Investing.com – Belgian stocks rose after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the stock sector led shares higher.

At the close in Brussels, the index rose by 0.81%.

The best performers of the session were building (EBR:), whose value rose 3.16% or 1.75 points and reached 57.10 at closing. Elia (EBR:) shares increased by 3.10%, or 1.90 points, to close at 63.20. Cofinimo SA (EBR:) rose 3.09% or 1.60 points to 53.40 at the end of the session.

It was the worst performance of the session Argin-X (EBR:) which decreased in value by 1.74% or 11.40 points and was trading at 642.20 levels at closing. Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:) was down 1.72% or 3.30 points at 188.80. Galapagos NV (AS:) stock fell 1.36% or 0.32 points at 23.16.

The number of advancing shares outnumbered the declining shares on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 65 shares compared to 27 shares, and 15 shares closed without change.

Gold futures for February delivery rose 1.18%, or 31.56, and closed at $2,713.86 per ounce. As for trading in other commodities, the price of crude oil contracts for March delivery rose 2.36%, or 1.80, and reached a price of $78.17 per barrel, while the Brent crude oil contract for March delivery rose 1.94%, or 1.55, and closed at $81.47 per barrel.

The EUR/USD pair was unchanged by 0.21% to reach 1.03, while the EUR/GBP pair was unchanged by 0.18% to reach 0.84.

The US Dollar Futures Index fell 0.09% to 109.01.
