Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold produced another moment of tremendous quality in last night’s match against Nottingham Forest.
The England international may not always be the most defensively solid player, and he had a nightmare in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United last week, but there are moments like this from him that make you realize you are watching a very special player indeed.
Watch the clip below, shared by Empire of the Kop, in which Alexander-Arnold was praised for a ‘insane’ first-time ball straight into the path of Mohamed Salah, who perhaps could have done a little better had he had the chance…

There aren’t many players who can pass the ball like Alexander-Arnold, and it is this kind of ability that will mean Liverpool will miss him sorely if he ends up leaving this summer.
The 26-year-old is in the final few months of his contract, and it’s no surprise this happened Real Madrid are on alert for a potential free transfer In the coming months.
Liverpool certainly cannot replace Trent Alexander-Arnold
There are of course quality right-backs in the world, but it is difficult to imagine anyone coming along and being able to replace the unique qualities that Alexander-Arnold brings to the Liverpool team.

Joshua Kimmich has been linked with a move to Liverpool As one of the possible options in a report by skyBut one imagines that most Reds fans will be desperate for the former academy graduate to stay and sign a new contract.
However, Real Madrid could sign a new player at right-back, and Alexander-Arnold would certainly fit in as a prototypical ‘Galactico’ to join other stars such as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham at the Bernabéu.
Meanwhile, Liverpool also need to focus on the issues on the pitch as they will be disappointed to drop points for the second straight league game, which could allow Arsenal to close the gap on them if they beat Tottenham tonight.
