Travis Kelce is getting mysterious about Taylor Swift’s new music

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end remained vague when asked if the “So High School” singer was working on any new songs about him.

Although many fans are eager to hear some new music from the singer, who just wrapped up her massively successful Eras Tour last year, the global superstar has yet to release Taylor’s version of two of her previous albums: Reputation and her debut. Taylor Swift.

On Monday, January 13, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared The Pat McAfee Show. Although the two certainly discussed football, it didn’t take long for host Pat McAfee to bring Taylor Swift into the conversation.

“Let’s just say you’re hanging out and having dinner for a bit and all of a sudden the creative spark comes out and you’re sitting down with an absolute monster who might become the most iconic icon in the history of music… Are you motivated every time?” McAfee asked.

“Oh yeah,” Kelsey said sarcastically. “You know that.”

After the interview, McAfee suggested that Swift may be working on an album about a “good” man and suggested that Kelsey was the inspiration behind her latest creative endeavors.

“There might be a little bit of it,” Kelsey said of Swift’s new music. “You know I can’t say, you know I can’t say… any of that.”

“I hear music everywhere,” he joked. Kelsey went on to say that he would “never be involved” in her creative process but is “here to support her.”

He continued: “I’m here to see where it can go.”

On January 18, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Houston Texans in their first playoff game of the season. During the interview, McAfee played coy and tried to ask if Swift was there, but Kelce apparently decided to play coy with his response.

“Is there going to be a aura in there, a little bit more? You know what we’re talking about,” McAfee asked.

“Oh yeah, you know that, baby,” Kelsey replied. “It’s a football playoff, man.”

On January 4, backup singer Jessalyn Gorman shared two photos of Taylor Swift enjoying some time on the Eras Tour. The fifth photo in the carousel shows Swift lounging on a boat, soaking up the sun on a boat wearing a two-piece bathing suit. Another photo shows Swift posing with the group in a black dress while enjoying a night out.

In the caption, Gorman shared some things she’s learned in 2024, even working in some Taylor Swift lyrics along the way. “My chosen family is so cool,” she wrote in the caption, capturing the lyrics of her folk song “The 1”: “We were something, don’t you think? / The rose flows with your chosen family.”

In another Instagram post, Gorman shared a video of highlights from The Eras Tour set to Swift’s song “New Year’s Day.” In the caption, the backup singer admitted, “Every time I tried to put something together, the thought of it being the last would paralyze and exhaust me to the point of complete avoidance,” admitting that he struggled to find the words to express it.
