Irish Women’s National Cricket Team player Amy Maguire has come under huge scrutiny for her bowling during the ongoing series against the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team. The two teams are currently competing against each other in the three-match ODI series.

Amy Maguire came under the scanner after bowling in the first match of the series against the India women’s national cricket team in Rajkot. The off-spinner was decent with the ball as she bowled eight overs in the match and returned with figures of 3/57.

ICC sends official letter to Cricket Ireland over illegal bowling by spinner Aimee Maguire

After the match, officials handed the report to the management of the Irish women’s national cricket team. The International Cricket Council (ICC) subsequently sent an official letter to Cricket Ireland, confirming that the illegal bowling had been reported after the match.

Aimee Maguire will now have to report to an ICC approved testing center to take the test within the next 14 days. The test will determine whether the spinner’s bowling action violates the ICC regulations. But according to the rules, she will be allowed to play until the test results come out.
